Want to travel through Asia but not sure where to start? Why not try teaching English in Taiwan! Its one of Asia’s best-kept secrets – it has the modernity and freedom of a developed country, while maintaining its traditions and cultures of an ancient civilization. Taiwan is just off the coast of mainland China and just hours away from other Asian countries such as the Philippines, Japan and South Korea! And despite it ultra hip cities and breath taking natural escape spots, it has one of the cheapest cost of living in Asia. Compared to other stops such as Japan or South Korea where the pay and cost of living are proportionally high, English teachers in Taiwan earn significantly higher in comparison to the cheap cost of living. The extra disposable income will leave you lots of space to travel in or around the island, experience the tantalizing taste of Taiwanese and other Asian cuisine, enjoy an exciting social life or even save money to pay off student debt! What ever your reasons, we are here to help! Hess Educational Organization is the largest and most reputable school in Taiwan – we hire about 250 teachers a year to come to Taiwan and teach English at one of our 150 branches across the island!
